TOYOTA HONORED BY MINORITY SUPPLIERS

Toyota has been named the Corporation of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) for its continued commitment to minority suppliers and diverse communities. The award - which was presented earlier this week during the NMSDC Annual Conference in Atlanta, Ga. - recognizes the company's leadership around supplier diversity that impacts all areas of its business operations.

In spring and summer, tires are typically replaced when their tread depth approaches 2/32". In winter, however, greater tread depth is required for traction on Ohio's snowy roads - at least 6/32".

WHICH CARS COST LEAST TO REPAIR?

Toyota has taken the top spot in a ranking of cars by repair cost in a report published by auto diagnostic and repair website CarMD. The report shows which companies' cars have both the fewest and the least expensive repairs. The rankings collect repair data from CarMD's network of 3,000 U.S. mechanics. The top-ranked model, the Toyota Corolla, had not only infrequent trips to the shop but an average repair cost of just $45.84. Toyota Heads Down Info Highway with Intel

Recently launched in such new Toyota models as the 2012 Toyota 4Runner, Entune has already impressed consumers with advanced connectivity and a wide range of information access. WORLD'S FASTEST ELECTRIC CAR

U.S.-BUILT SIENNA EXPORTED TO KOREA

Toyota has begun to export U.S.-built Sienna minivans to distributors in South Korea. The Sienna is produced at Toyota's manufacturing plant in Princeton, IN. A top seller in the U.S., Canada and Mexico, this is the first time the vehicle will be exported outside of North America.

Toyota began exporting U.S.-built vehicles in 1988. These exports increased 30% in 2010 to about 100,000 units. With the start of shipments to South Korea, Toyota now exports U.S.-assembled vehicles to 19 countries around the world.
