SLIPPERY ROADS TO GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE

These 3 indicators often work in tandem; you'll typically notice that they come on in slippery driving conditions (whether rain, sleet, or snow). If they come on and then go off again, they're simply to let you know that your vehicle knows that it is driving in slippery conditions and is compensating for this. If the VSC light comes on and stays on, even when you are no longer driving on slippery pavement, it is an indication that your vehicle's Stability Control System should be checked out by a Metro Toyota technician.

This is also an ideal…

THE SCOOP ON SNOW TIRES

In spring and summer, tires are typically replaced when their tread depth approaches 2/32". In winter, however, greater tread depth is required for traction on Ohio's snowy roads - at least 6/32".

'Snow tires' (as opposed to all-weather or all-season tires) are typically molded with a deeper-than-average tread to increase the amount of snow that is picked up and released by the tire. If you use winter tires, Toyota recommends that you install 4 - rather than 2 - to provide even traction for both the front and rear of your vehicle. There are 3 main types of winter tires…

WINTER TIRE TYPES

There are 3 main types of winter tires:

Studless Ice & Snow: Developed to provide ice & snow traction similar to studded tires, but without using studs. These tires typically trade high-speed ratings and some handling responsiveness for enhanced snow & ice traction.

Performance Snow/Winter: Developed as high-speed winter tires for European driving conditions. These tires typically trade some deep snow and ice traction for enhanced dry and wet road traction, handling, and high-speed capability.

Studdable Snow/Winter: Developed to accomodate optional metal studs that enhance ice and hard-packed snow traction. When studded, these tires typically trade some noise and ride comfort…

TrueStart batteries feature an 84 month warranty, 24 month free replacement, and a complimentary…

WHAT IS A WARRANTY?

In the Metro Toyota Client Care Center, we are often asked what is and what isn't covered by a vehicle's warranty. From the way these questions are phrased, it's clear that many folks don't really understand what a warranty is or what it's intended to cover. Here's the scoop:

A warranty is a promise from the manufacturer to repair or replace a part (or an item) if it fails within a specific time period from the date of purchase due to poor workmanship by the manufacturer.

A warranty does not typically cover damage to…
